Last time, under the barrow

Session 82: The Wraiths of the Temple of Shadow

A gnarled tree of grey stone fused into the floor of the Shadebarrow's first chamber, a blood-filled crystal hanging from one branch🔍 The stone tree

Eight pillars. Eight wraiths.

The last door in the Temple of Shadow opens onto a closet, and the room wakes: a wraith pours out of every shadow pillar. Their touch halves your hit point maximum, they phase through flesh, and each one explodes in a burst of psychic energy when it dies. Thrack kills one and is dropped by the blast, Finn hits zero, a dire wolf rides a tornado, and the party walks out the other side at level 12.

Companions

Portrait of Thrack Dwarf · Emberhold Thrack Turned up at the party's door in Session 54 and never quite left. Knows the Yug'Voril slaver operations from the inside. Debt paid as of Session 66 — he rides with them now. Portrait of Zelthrax the Folded Promise Velum Dragon · Knowledge Keeper Zelthrax the Folded Promise A tiny dragon folded out of vellum and parchment, made by the elven wizard Arandor. Sealed inside a book on the fragility of knowledge until the party broke the seal. Portrait of Camellia Springshower Firbolg Druid · Circle of the Blighted Camellia Springshower Self-appointed guardian of the Shadebarrow region. A specter touched her inside the barrow years ago and the change has never stopped — she is not undead, whatever her eyes suggest. Met at the Thistle Farmstead in Session 78. Walked into the barrow with the party in Session 79 and did not recognize it.
